NEW AD: LISA BROWN - SAYS ONE THING, DOES ANOTHER
SPOKANE, WA - Continuing our efforts to highlight Lisa Brown’s disastrous record on public safety, the Spokane Good Government Alliance releases a statement along with our latest ad.
“Time and time again, Lisa Brown has proven herself to be on the wrong side of critical issues facing Spokane families,” said John Estey, Executive Director of the Spokane Good Government Alliance. “There is nothing worse than a career politician who gives lip service to public safety, but in reality has put repeat offenders on the street…using our tax dollars.”
Spokane residents are fed up with crime and feeling unsafe. As KXLY reported back in March - 442 people have been arrested more than 42,000 times by the Spokane Police Department. Just last month, a 24-time convicted felon was arrested for murdering a man by stabbing him over a dozen times.
Voters will recall that, while Director of Washington State’s Department of Commerce, Lisa Brown gave a $50,000 grant to the Spokane Bail Project, a radical organization who bails out violent repeat offenders.
“Law enforcement throughout our community has pleaded with elected officials about the dangers that repeat offenders are causing in our city,” Estey continued. “It turns out that Lisa Brown has been greasing the revolving door with our tax dollars and putting those dangerous folks back on our streets.”
Brown even gave $50,000 to Le’Taxione. Le’Taxione was a three strikes convicted felon who received clemency from Governor Inslee. Upon his release from prison, Le’Taxione was arrested for strangling his girlfriend. Once booked into the Spokane County jail, Le’Taxione received a $50,000 grant from Lisa Brown.
“Make no mistake, public safety is on the ballot this November,” Estey added. “Whether it’s Lisa's support for repeat offenders or wanting drugs, needles, and encampments near where our children go to play, learn, and grow - we can’t trust Lisa Brown to keep Spokane families safe.”
The Spokane Good Government Alliance was formed in 2019 to give members of the Spokane community a voice in the direction of our City. Our members represent a bi-partisan cross section of Spokane, with only one agenda: a safe, clean and affordable city where families can thrive, businesses can grow and law enforcement can be respected and supported.
