Dishonest Citizens for Liberty and Labor PAC Ad Pulled Down

SPOKANE, WA - The Spokane Good Government Alliance today released the following statement in response to the first Spokane television station refusing to air a blatantly false and dishonest attack ad from Citizens for Liberty and Labor.

“Wow, that was fast,” said John Estey, Executive Director of the Spokane Good Government Alliance. “Lisa Brown’s left-wing allies wrote an ad that was so despicable, and so blatantly false, it took at least one Spokane station less than 24 hours to pull them down after just a few of their lies were highlighted.”

Local news outlets have reported that KXLY has agreed that the advertisements do not meet basic standards of honesty and integrity. As such, the ads are not running, and voters are not being subjected to false and dishonest advertising. 

“We have said all along that this race is about the future, and that each candidate’s record must be examined. While Spokane Good Government Alliance has consistently told the truth about Lisa Brown and her radical slate of candidates’ terrible record on crime, Brown’s allies have released advertising that is so false, at least one station is refusing to run it,” said Estey.
