Can We Trust Lisa Brown to Make the Right Decisions?

SPOKANE, WA - Spokane County Sheriff John Nowels and the Spokane Good Government Alliance release a joint statement regarding Lisa Brown's disastrous record on public safety, accompanied by our latest ad.

“With over two decades serving in law enforcement, I have seen the devastating impacts that domestic violence cases have had on our community,” said Spokane County Sheriff, John Nowels. “Voters should be cautious of any candidate who has a proven track record of financing projects that harm communities, drive up crime numbers, and support law violators over law abiding citizens."

“Public safety is on the ballot this November,” said John Estey, Executive Director of the Spokane Good Government Alliance. “If you look at Lisa Brown’s record as an administrator, it’s clear she is unfit to serve as Spokane’s next Mayor. Whether funding a program that bails repeat offenders out of jail, or giving a grant to a three-strikes felon who was arrested for strangling his girlfriend, Spokane families have to ask themselves one question: with a record like Lisa Brown’s, can we really trust her to keep our community safe?”

“I encourage voters to see where candidates stand on supporting law-abiding citizens, safe neighborhoods, and law enforcement. Candidates can give lip service to it but there’s a reason law enforcement hasn’t endorsed Lisa Brown, Betsy Wilkerson nor their radical slate of candidates.  If you want a safe community, I encourage voters to vote for Nadine Woodward, Kim Plese, Michael Cathcart, Earl Moore, and Katey Treloar.” Nowels said.

The Spokane Good Government Alliance was formed in 2019 to advocate for a balanced local government that best serves the Citizens of Spokane.
